What is the PSAT/NMSQT?

The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is the pre-test that gives students a preview to the SAT. High school students (mostly sophomores and juniors) take this multiple-choice Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing exam since the results can highlight focus areas for SAT preparation as well as identify National Merit Scholars (juniors only) for possible college scholarships.
