Public Outreach for Fencing Projects at Davis High

Fencing Project April 2024

As part of the Bond Program funding from Measure M, the Davis Board of Education has prioritized a total of $3 million for fencing projects across DJUSD school sites. The goal of these projects is to improve safety and access control, by deterring pedestrian traffic across school grounds during school hours and limiting the number of entry points to campus.

Implementation of fencing projects will occur in phases with the first phase beginning at Davis Senior High School, North Davis Elementary and Willett Elementary. DJUSD presented initial proposals for fencing projects at each of the three sites in December 2023. Staff and community feedback have been valuable in revising project plans, and we invite you to attend another outreach opportunity to review and discuss the proposed fencing at Davis Senior High School. Students, families, staff, neighbors and friends are all invited!
