Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!


This email  includes important information regarding the 2023-2024 school year and Blue Devil Day (formerly known as schedule pick up). Please read this information carefully.

Blue Devil Day (Formerly Schedule Pick Up)


Students must be present to receive their 2023-2024 schedule and student ID.

Parents are not required to attend Blue Devil Day with their student.

  • Seniors: 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
  • Juniors: 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Sophomores & Split-Site: 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.


Location: North Gym, Davis Senior High School 


Annual Registration (Formerly On-line Re-enrollment)


Davis Senior High School will once again participate in the  DJUSD Annual Registration process. Families should have received an email from the Davis Joint Unified School District Office with instructions to access the parent portal using a provided pin and password. Please log in and complete all the required district forms.


Remember to complete the DJUSD Online Annual Registration process prior to Blue Devil Day (8/16/2023) Schedules will not be released until the registration is completed.

Sophomore/New Student Orientation:

When: August 21, 2023 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Where: North Gym, Davis Senior High School


Orientation will be led by current students who are excited to welcome new students to  the DSHS campus. Orientation will include a campus tour and engaging community building activities. Students will be contacted by a student leader prior to August 21st with details. 




There is no cost for a Student ID card. Students unable to attend Blue Devil Day must report to the North Gym on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Students will need a student ID by the start of school in order to check out textbooks and library materials. 


Online Annual Registration Process


In order to pick up a class schedule students must meet all of the following:

  • A parent/ guardian has completed the DJUSD Online Annual Registration process through the parent portal at Please visit the website for more information. For questions or assistance, please call (530) 757-5400 x137.
  • Students must have a clear school record: Obligations such as debts owed to the school or district should be cleared right away. Schedules will be available upon clearance of all obligations. 
  • If a student has moved, a parent or guardian must complete the change of address form.This form must be submitted  in person at DSHS (not through the electronic process). Mail will not be forwarded.                                                                                                                                     The parent/guardian will need to fill out and submit the change of address form along with ONE of the district required supporting documents. 
  • Current mortgage statement or escrow papers showing purchase of home and parent/guardian's name
  •  Current rental or lease agreement showing manager’s name and phone number and parent/guardian’s name. 


  • PTA Forms (included within this email; see attached links)
  • Free/Reduced Lunch Applications- A new application is due at the beginning of every school year. Lunch applications can be completed online at after August 15, 2022. Hard copies will also be available at schedule pick up and can be turned into the DSHS Main Office upon completion. 
  • Lockers: Students interested in a locker assignment, should visit the DSHS Attendance Window with a self purchased combination lock. Our Attendance Office will assign a locker and log the student’s lock combination. Students assigned to the locker have sole responsibility for the locker contents. Any  unassigned locker with a non approved lock on it may be subject to cut and contents may be available for pick-up in the front office. 



  • Seniors Pictures: Scheduled appointments have been sent via physical mail to the home address on file with DSHH.. An email reminder will be sent to the parent email on file with DSHS from Prestige on the 14th, 7th, and 3rd day prior to the scheduled appointment. Seniors who do not receive any reservation reminders or notifications can visit and follow the directions. Yearbook Dress Code for Senior Portraits: Tux or Drape; provided by Prestige. Black graduation gowns will be provided as an option for those that opt out of the yearbook attire.

  • Grad Night:  2024 graduating seniors: Check your DJUSD email or visit in the coming months for event and ticket information. Parents: Do you want to help?  Email us at [email protected] to stay up to date on all the planning this year!



Schedule Adjustments:

Please note the following parameters for 2023-2024 schedule changes.

Requests for schedule changes will be made for the following reasons only:

  1. Class is needed for high school graduation requirement
  2. Class is needed to meet minimum a-g requirement
  3. Level change request, if available 
  4. Completed summer school course (Documentation required), if available 

(Requests for teacher or class period preferences -including free periods- will not be considered.)

* Please know that many classes are impacted. Some schedule changes may not be possible.

If requests meet one of the above conditions, then:


  1. Complete “request to adjust schedule” form, located in the Counseling Office,  

     requiring a parent signature.        

  1. Turn in form and AP/honors contract (if applicable) to the Counseling Office.
  2. Form will be time stamped upon receipt.

Counselors will notify students if the change is possible. Please be mindful that this process is the only way to request a schedule change.  Submitting requests via email or phone is not an option.

The time period to submit a change form, if applicable, is from August 16th (date of Blue Devil Day/schedule pick-up) through September 1st by lunch. 


Attendance procedures are in the electronic Student Handbook and on the DSHS website under the Resources tab. It is important to review school policy carefully before school starts. 

Note: Please call in absences on the same day of absence and give the attendance office 48 hours to input reported absences. .

All college visits must be pre-approved by the DSHS administration. All college visit requests (2 days max, SENIORS ONLY) must be submitted in writing (email or letter) to the Attendance Office at least 3 days prior to the absence.


DSHS students interested in Athletics must sign up online: There are step by step instructions on the DSHS Athletics webpage:   

Prior to registration, a sports physical must be completed after June 1, 2023 for the upcoming school year. During the registration process, upload the completed sports physical form. The sports physical form can be found on the Athletics page of the DSHS website.
