AP/Honors Courses: DSHS does not recommend taking more than the following loads: two AP/Honors courses in 10th grade, three AP/Honors courses in 11th grade and three AP/Honors courses in 12th grade.
The Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Committee met in 2012 to implement a recommended number of AP/Honors classes each year as stated in our school profile. The Board of Education approved this along with providing a directive to select Most Demanding for students taking 8 yearlong or more AP/Honors courses.
