ACADEMIC CENTER - (L10)


Provides one-on-one tutoring, in-class tutoring, and after school tutoring.  Meet the Program Supervisor, to learn about this academic support program. A Peer Tutor class (practical art) is available to juniors and seniors.


AGRICULTURE (O-01, O-01A, O-02)


Student led hands-on participation labs open to all guests:

O-01 & O-01A:  AgriScience and Animal Health pathways: Students will check the pulse rate and perform health checks.  Students will explore floral arranging and corsage construction.  Learn conduct soil tests and check for CO2 emissions.

O-02:  Ag Engineering pathway:  learn how to cut steel with an oxy-fuel cutting system


ART - (A1, A3, A6, A7)

AUTO TECH -  (O-03)


The DSHS auto shop will host open-shop and live-demonstrations in the auto shop and shop parking lot.  A project car can be viewed on the QUAD.


ATHLETICS (ASC)


Learn about our 29 various sports programs and new online athletic registration process.


AVID (Computer Lab in Library)


Learn about Advancement Via Independent Determination (AVID).

Tutorial demonstration 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm in the Computer Lab.


CAREER CENTER (now located in the All Student Center)


Visit the career center to see what resources are available to help students navigate college planning, find college scholarships, access up-to-date financial aid information, explore summer activities, volunteer and job opportunities, and more.


COMPUTER LAB (A5)


Learn about our CyberSecurity:ICT Essentials, Internet Engineering (CISCO), C++/Java programming, and Drafting classes.



COUNSELORS (Administration Building Table)


Counselors will be available to answer questions in English and Spanish. Campus maps and programs will be available


DRAMA & STAGECRAFT (IPAB)

ENGLISH (Library)


Have your questions answered about Lit/Comp AP and get the details on the differences between college prep, honors, Advanced Placement while we showcase student work in: English 10, American Voices, British Lit, Senior Literature, and SciFi.  Learn more about English support and elective courses in ELD (English Language Development), ACES (Academic Coaching Empowering Success), Yearbook, and our award winning Multimedia Journalism program- The HUB (Students will be available to answer your HUB related questions)


FOODS & FASHION (S-4)


Learn to cook by following recipes as you prepare for entry-level job skills in food service.  Fashion class will get you started in making your own clothes and other fabric objects as well as introduction to fashion industry components.


Library


Obsolete and discarded books from the library and textbook collection will be on tables near the library entrance.


MATHEMATICS (Library)


Learn about the Common Core math sequence from our math teachers.


MUSIC (PA 3)


Music teachers will be available to discuss instrumental and choral program offerings.


PHYSICAL EDUCATION (Weight Room & Dance Room)


Weight Room:  Meet the Physical Education teachers.  Ask questions about the various Physical Education course offerings, the Weight Lifting and Strength & Conditioning course offerings, and ILS. Also, stop by & check out the Brand New Weight room!

Dance Room:  Meet the DHS dance teacher. Learn how Introduction to Dance and Intermediate/Advanced Dance are classes that can fulfill either a student's Physical Education or Fine Arts requirements for graduation. See a short performance of both student work and teacher choreography!


ROBOTICS (M1 & M2)


The Davis Senior High School Robotics Program will be showcasing all aspects of our program from Fabrication and assembly to program and Business/Media. Come see robots and learn about how you can become a part of this exciting program, Visit the action in M1 and M2 and view our demonstrations in front of the library

S8: Which Chem is for You? (Short presentation provided)

S10: Chem Com students will demonstrate turning ordinary pennies into gold. Or is it really gold?

O1A: Which UC/CSU approved Agri-science options are right for you?


SOCIAL SCIENCE (Library)


World Civilization, US History (AP), RSJ, US Government(AP), Economics, Microeconomics/Macroeconomics, International Relations, Human Geography AP, and Psychology classes will have displays and power point presentations.


SPECIAL EDUCATION (Learning Center & C4)


Learning Center:  Learn about strategies for different disabilities, career interest surveys, learning style inventories (take home materials available).

C4:  Students in the inclusion program are fully integrated in the school community through their class schedules, clubs on campus (Best Buddies), and taking specialized courses that promote and build job readiness skills, social skills, study skills, and improve their functional reading, writing and math abilities.


WORLD LANGUAGES (S- 06)


Learn about our World Language classes:

Chinese, French, German, Japanese & Spanish

Join our international community where you will sample food from other countries, view student presentations, textbooks, student work, and learn about the various language exchange programs. Spanish sing-along 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm.
