Multilingual Support

A webpage to provide clear, relevant, & accessible information to the parents and guardians of Multilingual Learners

Story of the Week

Here in the ELD Department and the Academic Center, we are always looking for new ways to support multilingual learners.  As part of that effort, we will be hosting a focus group with former English language learners who have since achieved reclassification status.  Through these interviews, we hope to learn about:

  • What activities, skills, and behaviors were most helpful to them in learning English
  • What tools and resources they used
  • What advice they have for current English language learner students

Be on the lookout for more changes and improvements as we continue to gather and implement your feedback.  And please join us at our next ELAC meeting on December 10th from 6:15 - 7:15 PM in the DSHS All Student Center to share more of your ideas and feedback!

Thank you for your support!  See you then!

 (DSHS English Language Development Coordinator)
