Dear Blue Devil Family,

We are excited to welcome our returning and new students and families to Davis Senior High School for the 2021-2022 school year. The Davis Senior High School staff is dedicated to fostering a love of learning for all students through a safe, inclusive and equitable environment centered on mutual respect, positive relationships, and personal and academic growth. Our talented and creative teachers inspire our students with engaging lessons that are relevant to our students’ lives and aligned with our Graduate Profile competencies: Creativity and Innovation, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Adaptability and Resilience, Communication, Collaboration, and Civic and Cultural Awareness. Skilled and caring counselors and classified staff support our students and help our families access our school’s resources.

DSHS students get involved, gain new friends and connect with caring adults in many ways. Students participate in more than fifty student-led clubs on campus and in more than thirty sports and academic programs. From the All Student Center, the main social hub on our campus, every student can pick up a fresh and healthful breakfast and lunch daily. The College and Career Center in the ASC offers students chances to seek volunteer opportunities during high school and explore pathways to their future. At our Student Academic Success Center, students receive mentoring and help with their assignments in nearly every subject from U.C. Davis tutors. Our new Calm Space gives students a safe place to take a break and receive assistance with their social-emotional needs during the school day.

Davis Senior High School is a place where students pursue their interests in through a broad range of academic course offerings and extracurricular activities that foster 21st Century learning in preparation for college and career. Together, we continue our rich tradition of excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics. I look forward to helping every student enjoy a rewarding and successful school year.

Go Big Blue!
