Guys, gals, and non-binary pals! The GSA will continue making posters about Trans awareness at lunch, in Mr. Moore’s room P-21, on the second floor near the elevator. We will see you there!

Calling all Football Players: There will be an off-season strength and conditioning meeting in the Davis High Weight Room on Thursday Dec. 14th at 4pm. All students interested in playing football in the 2018 season should attend.

 

Blue Devil Spirit Wear makes great holiday gifts! Royal blue or black hooded sweatshirts are available for $25; white or royal blue athletic socks are $12; royal blue cinch bags are $10. Available in the DHS Finance Office. Coming soon to the DHS webstore!

 

Have you checked out the new Golden 1 Arena in Sacramento? Now is your chance! Come cheer on the Davis High Varsity Girls & Boys teams as they take on rivals St. Francis & Jesuit on Friday, January 5. Girls play at 6pm and boys play at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from a varsity team member or via the DHS Finance Office and webstore. This is a fundraiser for the DHS basketball programs. See you at the game!

 

ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:

Parking Lots and Lockers: Students, please remember that parking lots are off limits during break, passing periods, and class time.  If you are in need of a locker, there are still plenty of lockers available.  Please come to the attendance office and request a locker.  Remember to bring a lock!

 

Attention Senior Parents! Can you believe it is already time to start thinking about Grad Night? Grad Night tickets are now on sale. Every graduating senior in Davis (DaVinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this All-night, alcohol and drug free party on Friday, June 8th from 9:30 pm- 5:00am. Visit davisgradnight.org  to purchase tickets. Tickets are $75.00 until February 1st. So get your tickets before prices go up. Ticket includes all activities, food, and raffle entry.

Girl up will be hosting it’s next cub meeting on December 13th ! we will be talking about the December Girl Up challenge! Hope to see you there!

 

Do you want to get into Medical School, become a doctor a dentist, or a pharmacist? Then come to pre-med club, featuring guest speakers, health symposiums, and other events! We meet every other Monday in room S-01. Our next meeting is on Monday the 11th , we’ll be having a Doctor come speak with us!

 

CAREER:

Are you interesting in community service and volunteering?  If so, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (Davis Post 6949) is accepting volunteers for planning, organizing, and participating in two of their upcoming events:  Community Awards Breakfast on Saturday February 17 and the Veteran and Families Health and Wellness Resource Fair on Sunday March 4.  Volunteers will help with various aspects of these events, including planning, logistics, marketing, networking, social media, speaking, design, graphics, computer related tasks, and more.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
