THIS DAY IN HISTORY: 1906 - U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt left for Panama to see the progress on the new canal. It was the first foreign trip by a U.S. president. 

 

DAILY MENU: Pepper jack Double Cheese Burger with Guacamole serve with Cajun Fries. Grilled Turkey and Feta Sandwich w/ Garlic Aioli serve with Cajun Fries. Grilled Vegetable Sandwich on WG Sourdough w. Garlic Aioli.

 

TODAY:

Hey guys! UNICEF meeting at lunch in Mr. Williams room L-20. Hope to see you there!

 

Spanish Language and Culture Club meeting in room O-6. Come join us to have fun and practice your Spanish!

 

A DHS tradition, “Rent-A-Senior” will be in the library today from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Admissions will be free but bring some cash to bid on your favorite upper classmen.

 

Are you interested in discussing current events? If so, come to N-2 to the DHS Politics Club. Hope to see you there!

 

Trivia Bowl! Trivia is on exciting competition where students get to answer questions from a variety of categories and possibly win a prize! For more information come pick up an application from N-1A. All trivia bowl applications are due today in room N1-A.

 

ATHLETICS:

“DSHS Dance Team will be holding tryouts for the remaining of the 2017-2018 school year

ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:

Omigod! It’s finally here! DHS Drama Department’s fall musical Legally Blonde, will be opening, November 3rd at 7 p.m. in the Brunelle Performance Hall. The shows will run the next two weekends and student tickets are $10. We can’t wait to see you there!

 

Spring break in Costa Rica: The deadline for signing up for the trip to Costa Rica will be November 15.  Please see Courtenay Tessler in counseling if interested.

 

Attention Senior Parents! Can you believe it is already time to start thinking about Grad Night? Grad Night tickets are now on sale. Every graduating senior in Davis (DaVinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this All-night, alcohol and drug free party on Friday, June 8th from 9:30 pm- 5:00am. Visit davisgradnight.org  to purchase tickets. Tickets are $75.00 until February 1st. So get your tickets before prices go up. Ticket includes all activities, food, and raffle entry. 

 

 

CAREER:

Cabin leaders are still needed for Pioneer Elementary’s trip to Walker Creek December 4-8.  Guys are encouraged to apply! Cabin leaders will meet this Wednesday at Pioneer to start planning the trip, so come to the Career Center SOON to pick up an application.

 

North Davis Elementary School still needs male cabin leaders for their Walker Creek trip January 8-12.  Guys can come to the Career Center to pick up and fill out an application this week, and take it to North Davis as soon as possible.
