Unpacking a topic

Four levels of questions

Memory/Recall questions: who, what, when, where? These questions establish measurable facts. They form the foundation of research

Convergent questions: why? These questions look at the relationship between facts. Channel your "inner 2-year-old" and don't stop with asking "why" once. Ask why until you run out of patience.

Divergent questions: what if, suppose? These questions look to the unknown, to what might be or could be.

Evaluative: which is best? These questions call upon you to pass judgement, or express an opinion.
