About Me

Ever since I taught swimming lessons at Community Pool back in 2004, my life has followed a path in which education has been my main focus. After obtaining my Bachelor of Arts from UC Santa Barbara, I participated in the AmeriCorps program in Washington DC where I taught GED classes at an adult education school. Following this phenomenal experience, I decided to return to my hometown where I completed my Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Education at UC Davis. As chance would have it, a position opened up at my old high school as soon as my program ended, and I have been in the English Department at DHS ever since. While education is my number one focus in life, my other activities include watching Shakespearean theatre, reading, exploring the California coast, eating sandwiches, going to Performance 22, adopting elephants, and interacting with the wonderful community of Davis.
