CAL GRANT GPA'S HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TO CSAC!

DSHS has submitted 2018 senior verified Cal Grant GPAs to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). This means students do not need to complete a GPA verification form to apply for a Cal Grant.  To be eligible for a Cal Grant, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2.  Every senior who attends a California college, has a minimum 2.0 GPA, meets income and residency requirements, and applies by March 2 is guaranteed a Cal Grant.  After submitting the FAFSA, check the status of your Cal Grant at www.webgrants4students.org or call the Cal Grant Help Line at 1-888-224-7268.

FINANCIAL AID SEASON IS HERE!

MARCH 2 is the deadline to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the FAFSA is an important part of your college application process. When you fill out the FAFSA, you are applying for federal and state grants, loans, work study, and possibly funds from your student’s college as well. Most colleges use the FAFSA to award their own grants, loans, and scholarships.  Even if you think you are not eligible, you should still apply for financial aid. Many factors besides income are taken into account. You just might qualify!  If you have questions about financial aid, contact Julie Clayton in the Career Center at 757-5400, ext. 140 or jclayton@djusd.net
