COLLEGE VISITS NOW HAPPENING IN THE CAREER CENTER

College admissions representatives will visit the Career Center throughout fall to provide informative presentations about their college.  The college visit schedule is posted here, in the Career Center and on Naviance.  Students sign up on Naviance prior to attending a visit, and check in with their teacher before attending a college visit.  Come to the Career Center for help with Naviance or for more information about college visits.

Current Financial Aid Resources in Career Center

Did you miss the high school's annual Financial Aid Workshop on October 12 ? Don't worry - all the current financial aid handouts available at the event are now in the Career Center.  Come to the Career Center to get up-to-date financial aid materials and for assistance on how to apply for financial aid.

CAL GRANT GPA'S HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TO CSAC!

DSHS has successfully submitted 2018 senior class verified Cal Grant GPA information to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). This means students do not need to complete a paper GPA verification form to apply for a Cal Grant.  To be considered for a Cal Grant, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2.  Every senior who  plans to attend a California college, has at least a 2.0 GPA, meets income and residency requirements, and applies on time is guaranteed a Cal Grant.  After you have submitted the FAFSA, check the status of your Cal Grant at www.webgrants4students.org or call Cal Grant Help Line at 1-888-224-7268.
