CAL GRANT GPA'S SUBMITTED TO CSAC

We are pleased to announce that DSHS has successfully submitted senior class verified Cal Grant GPA information to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). This means students do not need to complete a paper GPA verification form to apply for a Cal Grant.  To be considered for a Cal Grant, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2. Cal Grants are free money offered by the State of California for students planning to attend a California college.  Every senior who has at least a 2.0 GPA, meets income and residency requirements, and applies on time is guaranteed a Cal Grant.  After you have submitted the FAFSA, check the status of your Cal Grant at www.webgrants4students.org or call Cal Grant Help Line at 1-888-224-7268.
