adolescent brain and growth mindset

This is the next presentation in our “Student Health and Wellness“ monthly series and will focus on the adolescent brain and growth mindset. This presentation will include a discussion on regulated/non-regulated actions and growth mindset. DSHS students are encouraged to follow the link below if they are interested in learning on these topics. This link allows students to sign up for the presentation held during lunch in the library west conference room on December 11th.  Any questions, please e-mail Vice Principal Kellie Sequeira (ksequeira@djusd.net).

December Wellness Challenge

DSHS Health and Wellness team would like to invite all DSHS students and staff to join the December Wellness Challenge. A game board with 20 different activities that support the mental health has been developed for our use during one of our busiest months of the year. Throughout the month of December, take a moment each day to complete one challenge task. Maybe you will choose to sit down and watch a sunset or plan a walk outdoors…  The more activities in our December Challenge you complete, the more wellness you may experience. Game boards with tasks will be on the blue walls of campus and additional copies can be found at the front desk—join the challenge and complete as many tasks as possible. Please feel free to add healthy tasks to our challenge board…email your ideas to Kellie Sequeira at ksequeira@djusd.net.
